Trailer task 2

This was the final edit for out task to work on a trailer in the editing suite. We used several shots that were took and created a narrative by implementing music to cut between the shots and make it flow a bit more. Transitions were used to separate the shots and allow for creation of a narrative.

Group Plot Synopsis

It's the year 2018, jack is in an interrogation room we learn of his past, military based, he was discharged honourably for attempting to save the life of his friend in an ambush although he lost him regardless. They talk about a back ground where his father was killed in a work accident at the age of 8, and now only lives with his mother. He was kicked out of school for behaviour issues then joined the army at 16. He gets convicted of the murder of his fiancée, prints on the gun and blood on a shirt found at the crime scene (he has flash backs to moments from Jacks perspective. he sees multiple things such as a silhouette of a person, the gun and his fiancée), they sentence him to prison for life which is then, after 2 years released over false claims. On his release he's sat in an interview with a mysterious unknown officer who hands him a file with the title "leviathans" which gives him his first source to find his fiancée's murderer. Military background was an elite training programme for a specialist force where assassination were top target priorities, this gives him an enhancement on his revenge plot.
He spends years after his prison sentence training and learning about the man who murdered his fiancée. He finds leads to a group under the name Leviathans. He finds people who have been affected by this group as well who have leads, they give him information.
he spends time training and then heads off to find the mysterious group.

As he arrives at the location. As the door swings open, jack pushes through the waves of mercenaries and criminals, Jack raises his gun and aims at the shooters head. Jack is then confronted by a mysterious man dressed in black (flashes back to the silhouette). the two begin to duel it out and are found to be evenly matched. As the two combatants fight Jack manages to gain the upper hand and manages to get a blow at his attacker. the shooter raises his head from the floor, he looks jack dead in the eyes, it's his best friend. Jack hesitates and asks why, and how. Jack is yelled at by his friend; from his point of view he was abandoned, tortured and interrogated, in the heat of the moment, Jack not being able to deal with the revaluation that his best friend who he had buried, had turned his life upside down due to his mistake shoots his friend. everything he'd lost was there in that moment, but the pain of realising it was his best friend who he thought had died was too much. It forced him to pull the trigger. He then turns the gun to himself screaming that he was the reason for all of the suffering, in his anger he picks up his gun and throws it away all his anger and pain comes out through his screams. He turns around to the sounds of sirens, looking round and realising there is no other way out; he reaches for his old friend's gun, pulls a picture from his pocket, of his fiancée, he says im sorry then pulls the trigger on himself.

Individual Plot Synopsis

It's the year 2018, everything is normal, so it seems. Jack is at home with his fiancée, his fiancée has been the only person to calm his PTSD from his military back ground after loosing his best friend in an explosion, he's his pride. it's a standard morning until he heads off to work, where the inevitable happens. While at work a group of people come and take away jacks fiancé. After receiving a phone call of where to find her jack Perseus her using his ex-military skills, he prepares for the worst. On arrival he is greeted by a vast amount of people who quickly ambush him, putting him to the floor, putting him in a dazed sense of vision, looking up he sees his fiancé, crying and covered in blood as someone has a gun pointed at her head... they tell jack that this has because he told a secret to her, something that should not have been told because the secrets will ruin a life, even his own, then the gun fires as a bullet lands and kills her instantly.... jack falls to the floor passing out on the way down. 

A few days go by and jack is now in a court room convicted  of the murder of his fiancé, prints on the gun and blood on a shirt found at the crime scene, they sentence him to prison for life.

Months go by and we now see jack in what looks like a prison, but it's not all as it seems, he has a plan to escape but his mental state deteriorates, memories start flooding him of a dark past... the secret that was told that began all of these problems is resurfacing and it begins to drive him insane, reality is shattered and when he realises where he actually is he begins to plan an escape, he's in a mental asylum. 

As he sleeps after creating his break out plan the memories flood back, he sees his younger self being attacked by a man, a father like figure continuously hitting him for doing something wrong, as this continues on a new figure appears, she pulls young jack away and ends up attacking the man... murdering him. It then comes to the realisation that this man was his father and his murderer was his mother.... the secret he told was this murder he witnessed at a young age, his fiancé was going to tell what had happened to higher authority. Who murdered her was still a mystery 

His escape attempt happens the night after, knocking out a guard and stealing the uniform and his identification, he walks out a free man on the hunt for the killer, the first person he puts into the equation is the murderer of his father, his mother. He approaches her at her house late hours of the night,  he questions her as she begins to break to, admitting to the problems, and then explains how she found out. She was approached by the fiancée, she threatened to either leave his life or she'll go to the authorities so, she had people sent to kill her... he takes his mother into the car and forces her to take him to the location of the killer.

As  they arrive at the location, he drags his mother to the door and makes her knock on the door and say there's an issue so that he will answer. As the door swings open, jack sees his best friend, the killer.
